Accordion Tabs are the primary way that Resources are provided. An Accordion is a replicable, expandable content type.
- Editors can use the same Accordion Tab on different pages
- Multiple Accordion Tabs can be listed on each page
- Each Accordion Tab can list list multiple resources related to the same topic
- Accordion Tabs can provide descriptive content in addition to, or instead of, resources.
Adding & Editing Accordion Tabs
There are two ways to add and edit accordion tabs: from the Content Tab or directly through one of the relevant page types.
Adding - From Content Tab
- To add a new Accordion to edit, first visit the Content Tab.
- Click "+Add Content" button, and choose "Accordion Tab"
- Fill out Title. This is a required field and will appear on Accordion Tab as header.
- Fill out Body. This is optional. Use this section if you would like to provide general information, external links, or describe resources you are adding).
- Add Resource Files. These are optional. you may add as many as you like. You can add "new" media or "existing" media.
- "New" media is media not currently uploaded. If you choose "new" media,
- it will open up a new section where you will give the media file a Name, and then you can either "Choose File" to upload a file, or insert a "File URL" if connecting to an external document.
- Next, tag the media with any appropriate areas of work or cohorts, as this will help it be found in site search.
- Hit the green "Create media item" button at the bottom, and your file will be added to your Accordion.
- "Existing" media is media that has already been uploaded, either from another page, or from the Media tab under "Content". If you choose to add "existing" media,
- it will provide a search box titled, "Media item".
- Start typing in the name of the media item and it will find it.
- Once you find your item, click the "Add media item" button, and your file will be added to your Accordion.
- If you have additional Resource Files to add, continue to add "new" or "existing" media until you have all of the files you want for that Accordion tab.
- When you are done, click the "Save" button at the top.
- Your Accordion tab is now available to be added to Basic and Cohort pages when you are ready.
Editing - From Content Tab
- To find an existing Accordion to edit, first visit the Content Tab.
